Tom J. Nohr CFP® RFC®
Comprehensive Planning for Retirement
Tom is president of Successful Financial Education Workshops and has been in the financial industry since 1985. He got his start working for Mutual of Omaha and continued to work there until 1996 when he opened his own practice.
He received his CFP designation in 1990. He began giving seminars in 1996 as well including; "Successful Money Management", "Financial Strategies for a Successful Retirement", "Taking Control", "Retirement Planning Today", and Social Security Maximization. He taught financial and estate planning through the continuing education department at California State University, Hayward. He has been a LUTC moderator to teach insurance professionals about financial planning and is listed in the Who's Who in Finance and Industry. He has also contributed articles for the Daily Review, Oakland Tribune, Fremont Argus, and Tri-Valley Herald. In addition he has co-authored "Finacial Success in the Year 2000 and Beyond."
Tom, a past member of the International Association of Financial Planners, has helped many to reach the retirement that once seemed difficult or unobtainable. Tom's approach to financial planning is to holistically plan for a client's lifestyle now and the desired lifestyle in retirement. He is an independent financial planner which means he is not tied to specific companies and offers a full range of goods and services. Tom has helped a full variety of clients and seen a full variety of situations and brings that experience to the table.
